IL3 Background Information

IL3 (interleukin 3), also known as IL-3, is a potent growth promoting cytokine which belo ngs to the IL-3 family. IL3/IL-3 also belo ngs to the group of interleukins. Interleukins are produced by a wide variety of body cells. The function of the immune system depends in a large part on interleukins, and rare deficiencies of a number of them have been described, all featuring autoimmune diseases or immune deficiency. The majority of interleukins are synthesized by helper CD4+ T lymphocytes, as well as through monocytes, macrophages, and endothelial cells. They promote the development and differentiation of T, B, and hematopoietic cells. IL3/IL-3 is capable of supporting the proliferation of a broad range of hematopoietic cell types. It is involved in a variety of cell activities such as cell growth, differentiation and apoptosis. IL3/IL-3 has been shown to also possess neurotrophic activity, and it may be associated with neurologic disorders.

产品说明：

Noggin属于一组可扩散蛋白，通过与TGF-β家族的配体结合来调节其活性。TGF-β配体与其天然拮抗剂之间的相互作用在发育过程中具有重要的生物学意义，在发育过程中，细胞反应会因信号分子的局部浓度而发生变化。初Noggin被鉴定为BMP-4拮抗剂，其作用对头部和其他背部结构的正确形成至关重要。因此，Noggin已被证明能够调节包括BMP-2、-7、-13和-14在内的其他BMP的活性。在小鼠体内靶向缺失noggin导致产前死亡，隐性表型表现为严重畸形的骨骼系统。相反，在成熟成骨细胞中过度表达noggin的转基因小鼠显示成骨细胞分化受损、骨形成减少和严重骨质疏松。
