　　经过评估，由于缺乏足够的数据，专家小组无法就添加剂对目标物种的安全性做出结论，但在宠物饲料中使用该添加剂不需要进行环境风险评估。专家小组得出结论，在建议的使用条件下，该添加剂在狗和猫的饲料中可能是有效的。部分原文报道如下：
　　Following a request from the European Commission, EFSA was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the safety and efficacy of Streptococcus salivarius DSM 13084/ATCC BAA 1024 as a technological additive (functio nal group: acidity regulators) in feed for dogs and cats. The additive is intended for use at a proposed minimum co ncentration of 1 10 11CFU/l or kg liquid feed for dogs and cats. Due to the lack of adequate data, the FEEDAP Panel could not co nclude on the safety of the additive for the target species. The additive was co nsidered a respiratory sensitiser, but not irritant to skin. No co nclusions could be drawn on the potential of the additive to be an eye irritant or a skin sensitiser. No enviro nmental risk assessment is necessary for the use of the additive in feeds for pets. The Panel co ncluded that the additive has the potential to be efficacious in feeds for dogs and cats at the proposed co nditions of use.
