  In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC No 396/2005, the applicants Luxembourg Industries (Pamol Ltd and De Sangosse SAS submitted a request to the competent natio nal authority in France to modify the existing maximum residue level (MRL for fosetyl/phospho nic acid related to the use of potassium phospho nates on potatoes, wheat and some animal commodities. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for the crops under assessments and for animal commodities. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to co ntrol the residues of phospho nic acid on the commodities under co nsideration at the validated limit of quantification (LOQ of 0.01 mg/kg for high water and dry matrices and at LOQ of 0.1 mg/kg in high acid matrices and in animal matrices and eggs at the validated LOQ of 0.05 mg/kg and in milk at the validated LOQ of 0.01 mg/kg. ba sed on the risk assessment results, EFSA co ncluded that the intake of residues resulting from the use of potassium phospho nates according to the reported agricultural practices is unlikely to present a risk to consumers.
