澳大利亚昆士兰启动杂草调查研究计划

 

    据了解，农业和环境委员会已选定3种野草作为研究目标，它们分别为鼠尾草、刺槐以及杂草（Fireweed）。同时他们还对影响农地的其它杂草进行研究。

 

    澳调查委员会副主席Tony Perrett表示，调查的重点在于研究政府的杂草管理计划的有效性。他表示，身为一个代表兼农场主，明白很多地主正在关注昆州杂草的问题。它不但开始在经济上影响了盈利也影响了农业产值。启动的调查将广泛地探索控制侵略性杂草的方法。

    The Agriculture and Environment Committee has nominated three weeds as case studies - Giant Rat's Tail Grass, Prickly Acacia and Fireweed — but will also look at any other plants causing concerns for landholders.

 

    Committee Deputy Chair Tony Perrett said the inquiry would focus heavily on the effectiveness of government weed-control programs.

 

    “Certainly as an elected representative and as a grazier myself I understand the concern of many many landholders right across Queensland that invasive plants are certainly something that's not only starting to have an economic impact on the profitability of properties but certainly on the values as well.
