血糖生成指数(GI)是衡量碳水化合物质量的指标,依据饭后血糖升高水平来定义。目前理论是高GI饮食会提高血糖和胰岛素浓度,而体内称为类胰岛素生长因子(IGF)的荷尔蒙也随着升高。
研究人员梅尔科尼恩(Stephanie Melkonian)称,与每日饮食最低GI的人相较,每日最高GI饮食的人,患肺癌风险增加49%。
