调查显示：美国人最关注肉类食品安全

食品伙伴网报道，据美国食品安全新闻网（foodsafetynew.com）2010年8月2日消息，美国国家电视台所进行的一次由超过3000人参加的全国性的调查结果显示：超过60%的参与者担心食品安全，51%的人参与者表示对美国肉类供应安全的担心。
    25%的参与者对海鲜污染问题表示担心；23%的参与者担心农产品；还有4%的参与者则关心乳制品的食品安全问题。

    该调查还显示，10%的受访者声称，他们在过去6个月内，因为吃了某种食物而生病；此外，超过30%的受访者表示，他们相信主要是由于墨西哥湾原油泄漏事故，在过去的三个月中海鲜污染增加。

    根据美国国家电视台，更多的人说：食品公司要提高质量控制系统，而不是要求更多的检查、监督、或更严厉的惩罚。

According to a national survey of more than 3,000 participants conducted for NPR by Thomson Reuters, more than 60 percent of Americans are worried about food safety, with 51 percent expressing particular concern over the safety of the nation's meat supply.

25 percent of the survey participants expressed concern about seafood contamination; 23 percent worried about produce; and 4 percent were concerned about dairy products.

The survey also revealed that 10 percent of those surveyed claimed to have been made ill by something they ate within the last six months. Additionally, more than 30 percent of respondents said they believe seafood contamination has increased over the last three months, mainly due to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

According to NPR, more people said food companies should improve quality-control systems, rather than calling for more inspections, oversight, or stiffer penalties.
