1. Introduction
In China, infant formula milk powder products was under the strictest food regulation governance. According to Administrative Measures for Product Formula Registration of Infants and Young Children Formula Milk Powder (2016 version). All domestic and im
port infants and young children formula milk powder should register before sale in China.
On March 18, 2021, the Natio
nal Health Commission (NHC) and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) issued 3 new natio
nal standards for infant formula food, which will be implemented on February 22, 2023. This time SAMR splits the current "Natio
nal Food Safety Standard, older infant and Young Children Formula" (GB 10767-2010) into "Natio
nal Food Safety Standard, older infant Formula" (GB 10766-2021) and "Natio
nal Food Safety Standard, Young Children Formula" (GB 10767-2021), which makes the standards more scientific.
2. Product scope
According to ¡°Administrative Measures for Product Formula Registration of Infants and Young Children Formula Milk Powder¡±, each enterprise shall hold no more than 9 product formulas of 3 formula series, each of which includes:
Infant formula milk powder (0~6 months, stage 1);
Older infant formula milk powder (6~12 months, stage 2);
Young children formula milk powder (12~36 months, stage 3).
